It is He Who made the sun to be a shining glory and the moon to be a light (of beauty), and measured out stages for her ; that you might know the number of years and the count (of time).
Qur’an, Jonah, Surah 10:41
If they charge thee with falsehood, say: “My work to me, and yours to you! Ye are free from responsibility for what I do, and I for what ye do!”
Qur’an, Surah 17:37
Nor walk upon the earth with insolence for you cannot render the earth asunder and you cannot reach the mountains in height.
If the ocean were ink wherewith to write out the words of my LORD, sooner would the ocean be exhausted than would the words of my LORD, even if we added another ocean like it, for its aid.
Qur’an, The Cave, Surah 18:23-24
Nor say of anything, “I shall be sure to do so and so tomorrow,” without adding, “So please Allah.” and call thy Lord to mind when thou forgettest, and say, “I hope that my Lord will guide me ever closer (even) than this to the right road.”
From the earth did we create you, and into it shall we return you, and from it shall we bring you out once again.
Hopeless indeed will be the man that carries iniquity on his back. But he who works deeds of righteousness, and has faith, will have no fear of harm or any curtailment of what is his due.
Qur’an, The Criterion, Surah 25:61-62

Qur’an, Al-Furqan, Surah 25:63-64
The faithful servants of the Beneficent walk upon the earth modestly, and when the ignorant address them, they say: “Peace!” They spend the night standing and prostrating before their Lord and say, “Lord, avert from us the doom of Hell, for its torment is everlasting. It is an evil resting place, a wretched abode indeed.”
Qur’an, Al-Furqan, Surah 25:72-74
The true servants of the merciful Lord are those who do not tell lies against others, and do not lose their composure when listening to profane abuse; and who do not turn a blind eye and a deaf ear to the Lord’s revelations, when they are reminded of them. The true servants of the merciful Lord are those who say to him: ‘Make our families happy, and make us examples to all who honour you.’
Qur’an, Surah 31:17-18
And swell not thy cheek for pride at men, nor walk in insolence through the earth for ALLAH loves not any arrogant boaster. And be moderate in your pace and lower your voice for the harshest of sounds without doubt is the braying of the ass.
Qur’an, Al-Hadid, Surah 57:20
Beware, the life of this world is nothing but a pastime, a momentary delight. It is but empty bragging, a pursuit of wealth and children. It is like the vegetation that flourishes after rain and is a source of delight to the farmer; but soon it turns yellow and withers away, crumbling into worthless waste. But in the life to come an eternal contentment or a grievous suffering awaits you. The life of this world is only an illusion.
Qur’an, Al-Hadid, Surah 57:23-24
Do not be upset at the good things you miss, and do not be overjoyed at the good things you receive. God does not love those who are arrogant and boastful; he does not love those who are stingy, and encourage others to be stingy also. Those who ignore these words, should remember that God alone is self-reliant, and God alone is worthy of praise.
Qur’an, Al-Hadid, Surah 57:4
He created the heavens and the earth in six days. He is secure in his power. He knows all that happens below the surface of the earth, and he knows all that emerges from the earth. He knows all that comes down from the heavens, and all that ascends to the heavens. He is close to you, wherever you are. God is aware of all your actions.
Qur’an, Al-Hadid, Surah 57:1-3
All that is in the heavens and on the earth glorifies Allah. He alone is the Almighty, the Cognizant, the Sovereign of the heavens and the earth, who bestows life and ordains death, and has complete power over all things. He is the First and the Last, the Manifest and the Unseen, the One and the Only with the knowledge of all things.
Qur’an, Al-An’am, Surah 6:17

Qur’an, Fussilat, Surah 41:10-11
He placed lofty mountains rising high above the earth and bestowed His blessings upon it and in four days provided means of sustenance for all alike. Then He turned to the heavens that were but a cloud of smoke and said to both the heavens and the earth, “Come both of you willingly or unwillingly.” They replied, “We come in total submission.”
Qur’an, Ash-Shu’ara, Surah 26:83-85

Qur’an, Surah 109:1-6
Say, “O disbelievers, I don’t serve what you serve, and you don’t serve what I serve. And I won’t serve what you serve, and you won’t serve what I serve. You have your way, and I have my way.”
Qur’an, Al-Muzzammil, Surah 73:20
Recite then as much of the Qur’an as you can with ease, because He knows that some among you are sick, others must travel in search of His bounty, and others still have to struggle in His cause. Recite then only that which is easy for you, establish worship and give in alms, thus offering Allah a generous loan. Whatever good you send before yourselves, you shall find a richer reward with Allah.
Qur’an, Yusuf, Surah 12:101
My Lord! You endowed me with power and taught me to interpret dreams. Creator of the heavens and the earth! You are my only Protecting Friend in this world and the hereafter. Allow me to die in submission and admit me among the righteous.
Qur’an, Joseph, Surah 12:86-87
He said: “I only complain of my distraction and anguish to Allah, and I know from Allah that which ye know not…”O my sons! go ye and enquire about Joseph and his brother, and never give up hope of Allah’s Soothing Mercy: truly no one despairs of Allah’s Soothing Mercy, except those who have no faith.”
Qur’an, Al-Ahzab, Surah 33:44-47
On the day they meet their Lord, they shall be welcomed by the salutation “Peace!” An illustrious reward has been prepared for them. O Prophet, indeed We have sent you as a witness and a bearer of good tidings and also to warn humankind and to invite them to Allah by His leave and guide them like the beacon that spreads light. Give the believers good tidings that a great bounty awaits them.
Qur’an, At-Tauba, Surah 9:112
Those that turn (to Allah) in repentance; that serve Him, and praise Him; that wander in devotion to the cause of Allah, that bow down and prostrate themselves in prayer; that enjoin good and forbid evil; and observe the limit set by Allah. (These do rejoice). So proclaim the glad tidings to the Believers.
Qur’an, At-Tariq, Surah 86:8-10
God has power to bring the dead back to life–and he will do so on the day of judgement, when every conscience will be searched. People will stand helpless; no one will be able to support them
Qur’an, Ar-Rum, Surah 30:21
And among His Signs is this, that He created for you mates from among yourselves, that ye may dwell in tranquillity with them, and He has put love and mercy between your (hearts): verily in that are Signs for those who reflect.
Qur’an, An-Nab, Surah 78:6-13
Have We not made the earth as a wide expanse,
And the mountains as pegs?
And (have We not) created you in pairs,
And made your sleep for rest,
And made the night as a covering,
And made the day as a means of subsistence?
And (have We not) built over you the seven firmaments,
And placed (therein) a Light of Splendour?
Quran 76: 29-31
This is a message: let whoever will take a path to his Lord. But none of you have the will unless God wills. For God is all-knowing, completely wise. God admits anyone at will to divine mercy, but for the unjust has arranged an intense agony.
